Welcome to MyLothian Our Community

Police Liaison Officers

We’d like to introduce you to our Police Liaison Officers who work closely with our garages to help prevent anti-social behaviour on our services.

The Officers also visit our garages to catch up with drivers and hear any concerns they may have in regards to road or on-bus safety.

Please Remember!

You can always get in touch with Lothian’s Police Liaison Officer with any concerns you may have. Please email [email protected].

PC Karen McKenzie

– Lothian Police Liaison Officer

PC Karen McKenzie became Lothian’s new Police Liaison Officer in March 2023.

Karen brings a wealth of experience through her career at Police Scotland, working in the North West Edinburgh division, notably with the Community Alcohol Partnership, tackling underage drinking.

Karen will work closely with our Control Room team and our drivers to keep our customers and colleagues safe on our services.

PC Ross Walker

– Lothian Country Police Liaison Office

PC Ross Walker became Lothian Country’s Police Liaison Officer in March 2022.

Ross works closely with Kenny Burt and Derek McNally and checks in with the team at our Livingston depot regularly. Ross has worked hard to combat the rise in anti-social behaviour in the region, setting up decoy buses as a deterrent, and notes a recent settling of issues on buses.

Ross has experience working across different Police divisions in his time as an officer, mainly working in the Preventions and Interventions office.

If you have any concerns or experience any ‘near misses’ on the roads, please inform Kenny or Derek who will update Ross, or catch up with him when he is next in the depot.

PC-Craig-Purves

PC Craig Purves

– EastCoast Buses Police Liaison Officer

PC Craig Purves became EastCoast Buses’ Police Liaison Officer in March 2022.

Craig has been a Police Officer for over 7 years and has been based in Haddington, working in the Crime Prevention division.

Craig is keen to establish a positive relationship with Murdo and the team at Musselburgh and North Berwick. Craig plans to carry out School visits in his role as EastCoast Buses PLO and speak to children about Bus and Road safety and the importance of buses remaining a safe space for customers.

In his role, Craig hopes to make buses safer for our colleagues and customers, but also the roads safer for buses and other vehicles.

You can catch Craig when he visits the depot in Musselburgh, or inform Murdo of any concerns in Craig’s absence, and he will pass it on to Craig.
