Local Charities
If you know of any charity who would benefit from funding, all they have to do is drop an email to [email protected] explaining how a donation would help them. The charity must be registered in Scotland and be able to provide evidence as to how the funds would be retained locally.
Thank you to everyone who contributes to the Lothian Buses Employees’ Charities Fund – the organisations that we support really do genuinely appreciate these donations; here’s what some of them had to say:
The Claymore Club
Thank you very much for your very generous donation to our charity this year. This year, with your support, we were able to present our military veterans at Erskine with a cheque for £15,000. They were blown away with the amount donated. Lothian is a part of our charities family, and we look forward to continuing the relationship in the future.
St Columba’s Hospice Care
On behalf of everyone at the hospice, I’d like to extend our heartfelt thanks for your generous donation. Your support will help grow our Compassionate Gardeners programme, which is currently training up a fantastic group of volunteers. Very soon, they’ll be out in the community, bringing comfort and connection to people living with life-limiting illnesses – so your grant couldn’t have come at a better time!
Tranent Day Centre
I would just like to thank you and Lothian Buses for your very kind donation. We will use the money towards our Summer outings which is a great help to us. Once again thank you so much, myself, the team and the clients appreciate it very much.
Sight Scotland
Thank you for the wonderful news of your recent donation through the Lothian Buses Employees’ Charities Fund. Your support ensures our Policy Group can put lived experience at the heart of our campaigning on issues like street design, travel and accessible venues as well as provide equipment to people with visual impairment and sight loss.
